Excitement is building up at our institution as we gear up for our annual day celebrations! While our regular classes are ongoing, our students are also busy preparing for the big day.

St Mary's Teaching Practice Phase Two: Day One

On the first day of my teaching practice at St Mary's, I arrived promptly at 8:30 am, eager to begin this significant phase of my training. My day commenced with a meeting with the headmistress, who warmly welcomed us to the school and provided essential information about the school's policies, routines, and expectations.

Taking Duty

Following the meeting, I assumed my duty, which involved supervising students during their morning line duty. 

Taking Class

Later, I took a class, which presented an opportunity to apply my teaching skills and knowledge in a real-world setting. With the support of my cooperating teacher, I delivered a lesson that engaged the students and promoted their learning. This experience not only honed my teaching skills but also deepened my understanding of the students' needs and abilities.

Preparation and Reflection

Throughout the day, I prepared lessons, gathered resources, and reflected on my experiences. I recognized the importance of effective planning, classroom management, and communication in ensuring a productive and enjoyable learning environment. As I reflected on my practice,I identified areas for improvement and developed strategies to address these challenges.

Conclusion

My first day at St Mary's was a valuable and enriching experience that marked the beginning of my teaching practice. I am grateful for the support and guidance provided by the headmistress, cooperating teachers, and students. As I continue my teaching practice, I am committed to refining my skills, expanding my knowledge, and making a positive impact on the lives of my students.
